Duties: Responsible for overall mission and guidelines of the MSU Intercollegiate Softball Team; schedules games and practices; supervises all team personnel; recruits student athletes; arranges travel for team and staff; adheres to the mission and guidelines of the division NCAA and the MEAC in conducting and intercollegiate athletics sport program; develops and recommends a budget; provides information regarding the sport program; conducts a public relations program; maintains records and statistics; oversees the selection, distribution, maintenance, and care of all equipment; supports fundraising efforts; participates in all departmental functions, staff meetings, and fundraising events; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 2 years of experience coaching a women’s softball team at the collegiate level in NCAA and MEAC policies and procedures.
Requirements: Knowledge of University NCAA and MEAC rules, regulations, policies and procedures; ability to coach; ability to supervise; ability to work with students; ability to communicate effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
