Department: Enrollment Management and Veteran Services
Duties: Answers telephone information lines to provide timely information related to customer application status, continuing student status, and financial aid status using the BANNER Information Systems; provides general and specific information related to the Office of Financial Aid, Records and Registration and Undergraduate Admissions operations; answers telephone information lines; screens callers to determine correct destination and routes callers to the appropriate destination; furnishes detailed information regarding university contacts and activities, e.g., telephone numbers, scheduled events, hours of operation, university directions, address information, academic calendars, openings and closings, and the various offices and campus locations; and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; One year in a related customer service, call center or customer care field of work.
Requirements: Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and service; knowledge of telephone information call handling procedures; skill in the use of keyboards and basic communication software; ability to use listening techniques to interpret caller requests; ability to speak clearly and effectively; ability to learn and comprehend information regarding functions of departments; ability to interact with callers in a pleasant and courteous manner; ability to maintain poise under pressure.
