Duties: Supervises the daily operations of the unit; supervises the moving, shipping, receiving, tagging and recording of assets (furniture, equipment, and vehicles) purchased by the University; supervises the Record Retention program; supervises receipt and processing of materials; maintains shipping and receiving documentation; ensures that policies and procedures are followed; reconciles the receiving log on a weekly basis; monitors purchase orders; assigns deliveries and moving schedules; schedules work load according to man power; inventories moving equipment; directs the delivery of registered, certified, and express mail to the Procurement Office for proper handling; monitors processing of documentation for the disposal of vehicles; processes computers received from various departments to Property Control for degaussing, in accordance with the Department of Defense regulations; requests transport of taggers to various locations on campus; determines the priority and order of deliveries and moves; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license. Six (6) years of related warehouse operations experience, one year of which included supervision.
Preferred: Associate Degree in related field.
Requirements: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes; ability to supervise; ability to determine priorities; ability to monitor moving; ability to perform extensive standing, walking, climbing and frequent heavy lifting; ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
