Department:  Office of Residence Life and Housing (ORLH)

Duties: Serves as a Graduate Program Coordinator for  Academic Recovery, Insulation, Stability and Encouragement Program (ARISE); supports the academic needs of the Morgan State University's student  population by providing a variety of academic support services and programs; engages students in development of a holistic college experience, focusing on the importance of academic success;  manages and monitors programs and activities, e.g., Living-Learning Communities, individual academic consultations, peer tutoring and study groups, residential programming, discussion groups, newsletters, computer and tutorial lab access; maintains the functionality of the ARISE program; monitors and reports the academic progress of all participants; responsible for the Student Wellness Program (SWP), which provides workshops (Truth Series) for ARISE students and other residential students; assists with management of the AEP Office and ORLH initiatives, e.g., staff recruitment and training, the Morgan MILE program, etc.; cultivates and establishes relationships with AEP staff, Residence Directors, Thompsons Hospitality, and University Student Center staff in management of the AEP; plans and facilitates all ARISE introductory meetings; coordinates one-on-one academic consultations; develops and executes the AEP programming calendars; develops a comprehensive marketing plan; maintains attendance records; and performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Higher Education, Student Counseling, Social Work or related field.

Preferred: Master's Degree; Knowledge of   BANNER, APEX, and Blackboard.
