Department:         Purchasing Card Office

 Duties:   Assists the  Purchasing Card Program Administrator in managing and overseeing all operations and compliance requirements with the purchasing card program; examines transaction logs of purchases for accuracy; assists with training  of purchasing card holders and approvers; responds to cardholder queries and resolves issues; analyzes  documents; assures adherence to policies and procedures; devises methods and techniques to ensure that all paperwork is submitted complete and on a timely basis; analyzes card usage; recommends and implements program improvements; updates and maintains training materials; works with internal and external auditors; conducts and assists cardholders with monthly reconciliations of purchasing card transactions; evaluates and investigates potential new uses and enhancements for the purchasing card program; develops and formats newsletters, emails, and various correspondence; and performs other duties, as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:    Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Purchasing or related field. Two years of administrative staff experience that involved related activity, e.g., accounting, program management, project leadership, fiscal accounting.

 

Requirements:  Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); ability to apply basic analytical skills; ability to operate manual and automated office equipment, personal computers and financial software; ability to communicate effectively; ability to prepare and conduct presentations; knowledge of policies and procedures.
