Department: School of Global Journalism & Communication
Duties: Assists the Producer in monitoring and maintaining production and editing labs; monitors studio equipment in studio spaces and control rooms; reports to the Integrated Media Coordinator; monitors the daily management of the media equipment check-out and check-in facility; assists students in the editing labs; assists in the setup of studio and field equipment for approved projects; assists in editing audio, video recordings and script writing; assists with production activities at BEAR-TV and WMUR Radio studios; may work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors' Degree in mass communications or related field; One (1) year experience in studio and field audio recording techniques.
Special Note: The compensation of this position is derived from a research contract, gift or grant; therefore, this position is subject to automatic termination upon expiration of funds.
Preferred: Certification in video and audio editing software application. e.g., Adobe Creative Suite and ProTools, Avid and Final Cut Program
Requirements: Knowledge of contemporary digital and online technologies; knowledge of editing software; knowledge of knowledge of social and mobile media; skill in studio and field audio and video recording techniques; ability to use video and audio editing software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, ProTools, Avid and Final Cut Pro; ability to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings.
