Department: School of Global Journalism & Communication
Duties: Oversees the production of video programs for BEAR-TV; manages the operations of the radio production and video editing labs; coordinates the operation of the school's equipment storage rooms; supervises the associate producer in charge of the maintenance of those facilities; monitors the use of radio, video and digital production equipment; supervises student use of video and radio editing labs; provides faculty training and in-class support in the use of editing equipment and programs; coordinates the set-up of studio and field equipment; assists in editing audio and video recordings; assists with the activities held in the BEAR-TV and WMUR Radio studios; may work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors' Degree in mass communications or related field; Three (3) years experience in field, studio production, video editing, and/or camera operation.
Special Note: The compensation for this position is derived from a research contract, gift or grant; therefore, this position is subject to automatic termination upon expiration of funds.
Preferred: Certification in video and audio editing software applications, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, ProTools, Avid and Final Cut Pro.
