Department: School of Social Work, Title IV-E Program
Duties: Provides administrative and clerical support to the Title IV-E Program for the staff of the School of Social Work; interprets operating procedures; coordinates and implements payroll, purchasing, records, projects and budget accounting operations for the Title IV-E Project; develops and maintains a student tracking system for Title IV-E students; coordinates the collection and preparation of financial reporting, invoices, and operation reports; prepares correspondence, charts, forms, and other materials from copy using automated office equipment; proofreads materials; uses software applications to create spreadsheets, databases, statistical programs and graphic editing; reviews and edits correspondence; establishes and revises files; enters, updates and retrieves information; monitors and updates time, leave, inventory, budget and account records; orders supplies, equipment and other services; screens mail, telephone calls, and visitors; schedules meetings and appointments; makes travel arrangements and prepares travel vouchers and expense reports; gathers data for reports; ensures confidentially of information, and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Two years of office experience, which includes the production of documents using automated equipment and software. Demonstrated ability to type at least 45 wpm.
Preference: Knowledge of and skill in Banner applications.
Requirements: Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; knowledge of business English; excellent communication and customer service skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in maintaining clerical records; ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to interact with the public, employees, and students in a courteous and efficient manner; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with only general instructions.
