2013-C102 RECYCLING PROGRAM COLLECTION WORKER (Service Worker)

Department: Physical Plant Department
Duties: Collects all materials for recycling at designated locations throughout the entire Morgan State University campus at designated times; ensures that all materials are separated according to their composition (e.g., plastics, paper goods, aluminum cans); stores materials to be recycled in safe areas that would protect the sensitivity of the information and will not present any type of hazard; assists the Supervisor with information in the preparation of all required recycling reports; advises the supervisor on a regular basis the status of the University's recycling program and ways to improve this program; and performs other duties, as required.
Requirements: Ability to perform physical work requiring bending, stooping, reaching, carrying and lifting; ability to understand and follow directions; ability to lift and transport supplies and refuse; ability to wear and work-in personal protective gear; ability to work in adverse weather conditions; ability to work independently and as a member of a crew, depending upon specific tasks performed.
