Department: Office of Public Relations and Communications
Duties: Provides supervision over office staff responsible for multiple functional areas, including media relations, community relations, marketing, website, and publications; performs website development; manages web content; oversees all functions of the office in the Director’s absence; provides assistance in planning and managing the annual budget; serves as project manager for internal and external marketing initiatives to engage campus community; manages production of publications aimed at employees, students, alumni, and other audiences; serves as university spokesperson in radio, television and print media; and performs other related, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, or related field. Masters’ Degree preferred. Five (5) years of experience in professional public relations, communications or journalism setting.
Requirements: Knowledge and use of computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; skill in maintaining detailed records for media, marketing and other activities; ability to interact and communicate with a diverse audiences; ability to communicate effectively.
