Department: Transfer Center
Duties: Administers comprehensive transcript evaluations for domestic and internal students and for interacting with on and off campus stakeholders to help Morgan State University (MSU) reach transfer enrollment goals; comprehends and interprets institutional accreditation, Maryland Higher Education and C.O.M.A.R. policies, Maryland General Education policies, Banner, Maryland Articulation System, and evaluation of specialized credits; interprets, inputs, collects and synthesis data for reporting purposes; maintains contact with department transfer coordinators and chairpersons concerning equivalencies; broadens procedures and safeguards to protect students and the University throughout the transfer process; works with the academic community to design efficient transfer tools with a goal of retention and graduation from Morgan; responds to MSU advisors and inquiries from other colleges concerning equivalencies; meets with transfer students to answer questions regarding their credits; may speak publicly as needed; ensures that the department conforms to established policies and timelines; assists in the development and maintenance of a detailed Training and Procedures Manual for the Transfer Center; may be required to travel; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; experience with faculty/staff/students at post-secondary academic institutions in the field; a driver’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
Requirements: Knowledge of program or project planning and implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications; skill in the delivery of good customer service; ability to plan, implement, and manage projects; ability to develop relative policies and procedures; ability to conduct independent research, organize and conduct training; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends; ability to communicate effectively; ability to travel.
Preferred: Proficiency in SPSS and EmailMe Forms.
