Department: School of Business and Management
Duties: Serves as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management; provides complex administrative and clerical support to the department; makes travel arrangements; keeps records of all expenditures, expense reports, purchasing card logs, and reimbursements; prepares and administers departmental budgets; prepares University Foundation forms for scholarships; screens and directs telephone calls; schedules, and plans meetings; designs and publishes flyers and brochures; establishes office procedures and monitors the office operations; provides cross-training; prioritizes work assignments and responds to requests for information and material; answers and resolves issues and inquiries; maintains and updates files; ensures confidentiality of information; records and disseminates minutes at meetings; compiles information from files, manuals and other sources; and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years of office experience providing administrative support, including the production of documents using automated equipment and software applications. Demonstrated ability to type at least 50 wpm.

Requirements: Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; knowledge of business English; knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in maintaining clerical records; ability to work and think clearly under pressure; ability to maintain a professional demeanor; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to interact with the public, employees, and students in a courteous and efficient manner; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with only general instructions; ability to communicate effectively.
