Department: Chemistry Department
Duties: Receives, stores, and distributes supplies, materials, and equipment; orders, inspects, and verifies shipments for compliance with delivery documents and purchase order specifications; communicates with vendors and university personnel to manage upkeep of department facilities; tags and identifies all supplies, materials, and equipment; routes and delivers packages and equipment; ensures that licenses are up to code; manages lab waste removal; issues supplies, materials and equipment; conducts physical and electronic inventories; leads daily operations; determines work priorities, plans schedules, assigns and reviews work; fills store requisitions; prepares routine logs, and forms; implements procedures for maintaining department storage facilities, and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma; Two years related work experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Requirements: Knowledge of procedures and practices issuing and storing supplies, material, and equipment; skill in operating warehouse material handling equipment; skill ability to perform basic mathematics; ability to communicate effectively; ability to operate computers, and other standard office equipment; ability to establish effective work relationships; ability to climb; ability to lift, transport, and stock supplies and materials; ability to wear and work in protective equipment.
