Department:  School of Community Health and Policy 

Duties:   Coordinates and assists in the School of Community Health and Policy (SCHP); supports SCHP and University strategic goals and objectives related to undergraduate students; maintains student information database; develops and implements student outreach and recruitment activities; develops and implements programs to support achievement and growth; develops and coordinates programs for orientation of new students to include freshman, mature, international and transfer students along with the MSU Student Retention Program and the Division of International Affairs; generates and reviews student administrative records, academic progression, and graduation, including student advisement and Starfish; keeps current with University programs, academic policies and procedures; communicates changes relevant to stakeholders, faculty, staff, students, and program leadership; develops, coordinates and implements extra-curricular activities and programs that promote student growth and achievement; documents services needed for students with disabilities; and performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Higher Education or a related field.  Two (2) years of experience in an academic environment, or related experience.

Requirements:  Knowledge of academic and undergraduate activities; ability to implement undergraduate recruitment programs; ability to coordinate work with other departments of the University; ability to provide advice and guidance; ability to supervise; ability to communicate effectively; ability to operate a computer.
