Department:     Financial Aid - Work Study

Duties:   
Manages the community services component of the Work Study Office by locating and developing jobs within the community;  locates and develops jobs on and off Campus; processes contracts and related paperwork; processes timesheets, reconciles bi-weekly payrolls and inputs information into the Banner System;  implements plans for staff development; provides leadership by encouraging excellence in office administration and management; attends meetings; assists with audit reconciliations of student earnings; assists with implementation of student workshops; assists in determining student eligibility for Federal Work Study; Coordinates and gathers materials for signing of the student employment contracts on and off campus; provides instructions and guidance to students, supervisors, staff and other officials when Supervisor and Employment Coordinators are absent; trains and guides student workers; monitors calls and feedback of office operations; follows up and request information; and performs other duties, as required.   

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields;  One (1) year relevant work experience in work study, job placement, financial aid or counseling.  

Preferred: Work experience in collegiate environment.  Knowledge of BANNER. 

Requirements:  Knowledge of human resources policies, practices, and procedures; ability to organize data and present clear, concise reports; ability to analyze jobs and job requirements for recruitment, selection, classification, and training; ability to communicate effectively; to use automated systems, computers, and related software to facilitate assigned work;   ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
