Department:         Office of General Counsel

Duties:     Provides administrative support to the Office of General Counsel (OGC); assists in preparing and administering departmental budgets and Purchase Card reconciliations;  develops and maintains the office webpage;  enters, updates and retrieves information stored in files and databases; prepares Board of Regents materials, manuals and policies approved by attorneys; makes recommendations regarding improvement of standard  operating  procedures and office policies; exercises independent judgment and initiative in establishing and revising files; organizes and coordinates travel requests reimbursements, purchase orders, and operational expenses; adheres to University polices and OGC procedures; supervises student workers; provides receptionist support; ensures confidentiality of information; analyzes incoming correspondence; prepares reports, letters, presentations, and other documents, using Microsoft Office software and Adobe; coordinates and schedules meetings; handles general inquiries; interacts with internal and external customers; purchases office supplies and maintains inventories of software and hardware; handles technical issues and equipment maintenance; manages office calendars; and performs other duties, as required. 

Minimum Qualifications   High School Diploma and Five (5) years of experience providing support at the executive level and prior  office management and/or budget experience.

 Preferred:    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;   knowledge of Banner, Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Excel, Adobe, and Quicken.

Requirements:   Knowledge of practical applications of office practices, procedures and equipment; knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar; skill in preparing spreadsheets; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; ability to compose general correspondence; ability to keep records, maintain files and prepare reports; ability to project a professional and positive image; ability to provide effective communication and customer service.
