Department:    Office of Human Resources and Payroll

Duties:   This position manages recruitment and staffing activities for the University.  Responsibilities include developing recommended employment and staffing policies and procedures; preparing position announcements and advertisements, placing ads on the web and appropriate media; reviewing resumes/applications; screening, testing and referrals of applicants; coordinating temporary employment requests; advising management on employment and staffing policies; researching and identifying methods to expand recruitment; assisting  and training search committees with developing appropriate questions and means of identifying the best candidates; researching best practices in application systems to avoid the need to print and sort applications; and other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field.  Several years of professional Human Resources experience preferably in recruitment, interviewing or other related areas of Human Resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity. Ability to use various word processing and database applications; abitlity to compose correspondence and ability to supervise.

Preferred:   Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
