Department:               Earl S. Richardson Library

Duties:   Provides administrative and clerical support; prepares  and reviews correspondence, charts, and forms;  uses automated office equipment; proofreads materials; establishes and maintains files; monitors and updates leave, inventory, budget and account records; orders supplies, equipment and related services; screens telephone calls and visitors; schedules and coordinates meetings and appointments; makes travel arrangements; prepares and submits travel vouchers and expense reports; gathers data; ensures confidentially; relays messages and instructions between the supervisor and others; exercises independent judgment and initiative where guidelines and procedures have been established; utilizes automated equipment such as facsimile machines, personal and networked computers, printers, copy equipment, voice messaging, electronic mail systems and telephone equipment; and performs other duties, as required .

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years of office experience providing administrative support, which also included the production of documents using automated equipment and software applications.  Demonstrated ability to type at least 45 wpm by completing the university's clerical skills test.   

Preference:     Knowledge and expertise of Banner applications.

Requirements:     Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; knowledge of business English; skill in Microsoft Office Suite; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in maintaining records; ability to communicate effectively; ability to work and think clearly under pressure; ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to interact with the public, employees, and students in a courteous and efficient manner; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with only general instructions.
