Department:  Bear Necessity Card Center

DutiesDrives assigned route, obeying all the traffic and parking laws, in a safe and customer friendly manner; responsible for the timely operation of the shuttle; communicates via two-way cell phone; conducts daily pre and post trip shuttle inspections and promptly reports findings to Motor Pool Fleet Manager and Shuttle Supervisor; reports any disturbances; recommends changes and adjustments to shuttle routes and schedules; completes survey, recording the number of passengers boarding; removes all trash and debris from vehicles; and performs other transport and driving duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or GED; three (3) years driving experience involving the transport of passengers; a valid Maryland State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Bus Endorsement; clean driving record with no moving violations or points;  physical and mental health with a current Department of Transportation  Certificate.

Requirements: Knowledge of the care and operation of automotive transportation vehicles; skill in driving in all kinds of weather and road conditions; ability to perform surveys; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to assist passengers; ability to communicate effectively; ability to demonstrate good customer service skills.
