Honors Student Interns with N2K

Lynda Aboagye, Business Administration Major, had the opportunity to intern with Network 2000, a non-profit group of professional men and women who work toward—opening doors—and breaking barriers for women. The group provides mentoring for women at the mid-career stage, advocates for increasing the number of women serving on corporate boards, and works with other organizations throughout the country who share the same commitment to the advancement of women. As an intern, Lynda assisted with the compilation of data about the number of women in executive-level and board-level positions at companies headquartered in Maryland. The group's 2008 Census of Women Board Directors in Maryland presents the results of the research. Lynda thoroughly enjoyed her internship and would highly recommend that students pursue similar opportunities.
