Mr. Allen Boston

Allen is a retired Partner and formerly the Americas director of campus and diversity recruiting for Ernst & Young LLP. Overall career highlights include a 36 year-career in public accounting, including over 28 years as an executive of the firm in its Baltimore, New York and Americas practices. Allen served clients in a wide variety of industries, including companies that operated on a global basis. He was one of the trailblazers for the accounting profession in initiating and developing diversity and inclusiveness efforts that help transform the profession. He served in leadership roles to promote and advance the accounting profession on national and local levels and worked with many universities’ professional organizations to address important issues impacting the profession.
Allen is currently a board member of the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, a New England-based organization that supports educational initiatives, and on advisory boards at the National Association of Black Accountants, Morgan State and Rider universities. Allen has also served on advisory boards at Michigan State, Indiana University, the University of Arkansas and North Carolina A&T State University. He has served in governance roles with the AICPA, and the Maryland and New Jersey state societies of CPAs. Boston has been quoted in national media and twice interviewed live on CNN to discuss diversity in Corporate America. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morgan State University.
