These awards are available on a limited basis to new and continuing Morgan students, and they are based on need and academic average. Award amounts vary. For details, students should contact the Director of the University Honors Program.

- Diversity Grants
Grants and internships are awarded to eligible enrollees who are residents of the State of Maryland. Awards range up to $2000 per year. For details, students should contact the Admissions Office:

- Athletic Grants
These grants are available to selected participants on intercollegiate athletic teams. Amounts vary and are determined by the University Athletic Department. For details, students should contact the Financial Assistance Office.
- ROTC Scholarships
Four-year Army ROTC scholarships are offered by the U.S. Army to selected high school seniors who desire to pursue a military career. These scholarships pay for all tuition, books, and laboratory fees and provide a $100 monthly allowance. Applications are accepted from July 1st until December 1st of each year. Three, two and one-year scholarships are awarded to college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, respectively, on a competitive basis. For details, students should contact the chairperson if the Military Science Department.

- Maryland State Scholarships
Maryland student residents must apply directly to the Maryland State Scholarship Administration which is located in Annapolis, Maryland. Awards are made via the Senate, the House of Delegates, General State Scholarships, and other programs under the aegis of the Administration.

For these awards, recipients are required to register for and must maintain 12 credit hours per semester unless otherwise indicated on the official award notification. For details, students should contact the Financial Aid Office.

A limited number of private scholarships and grants are available each year through the institution. These may be based on area of study or other requirements. They also may be limited by student classification. For details, students should contact the appropriate department or school/college.

- Young Women Scholarship program A new scholarship program for female Nigerian college students in the metropolitan Washington and Baltimore area. This new initiative targets young women with an international student visa who are not allowed to seek outside employment to finance their education. Morgan State students have been invited to participate in this new scholarship program. For additional information on the entire program you may visit, www.pcnaf.org. The Deadline to submit applications is May 2, 2012.
