Introduction: The School of Public Health and Policy (SCHP) is recruiting for a full-time Assistant Professor. Interested candidates should have a strong desire in executing the goals of the department, which will advance the mission of the School at one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Providing each student with a syllabus at the beginning of the course; providing student teaching, advising; evaluating student learning, skills, and abilities; maintaining records of student evaluations; conducting curriculum development; writing and submitting grants, conducting research, and other scholarly productivity; obtaining extramural support; participating in departmental meetings to contribute to further development of the Nursing Program and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited College or University with at least five years of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The Preferred candidate will have a Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited College or University with experience in Nursing Education.

Requirements: Must be a Registered Nurse with a currently active Maryland license or eligible to obtain a license; must have excellent oral and written communication skills; possess a strong commitment and ability to relate well to others within a multiethnic and multicultural diverse student population.
