The School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences

Introduction: The School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences (SCMNS) is currently recruiting for an Assistant/Associate Professor. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of one of the largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Maryland.

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Biology or Chemistry department; training both, graduate and undergraduate students to conduct research and service for the University; collaborating and working with Vitreon America on natural product development in the green house; conducting cutting edge research and robust risk assessments of plants and processes to generate modern Biotechnology products, including pharmaceutical and industrial compounds; writing and reviewing research documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have achieved a Doctoral Degree in Analytical, Medicinal Chemistry, Plant Science or a related field from an accredited College or University. No experience necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching and a substantial record of publications in the areas of medicinal plants and natural product chemistry are preferred.

Requirements: Must have the ability to relate well to others within a multiethnic and multi culturally diverse student population.
