Introduction: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is recruiting for an Assistant/ Associate Professor (Tenure-Track). The candidate will serve a full-time, nine and a half (9.5) month academic appointment. Interested candidate should have a strong desire in executing the goals of the department, which will advance the mission of the School at one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
Duties: Teaching, researching and advising students; providing instruction in accordance with course descriptions, outlining class schedules; helping students obtain internships, scholarships, etc.; evaluating student learning skills and abilities; maintaining records of students evaluations, using Starfish; posting course materials, quizzes, tests, homework and project assignments on Black Board; submitting reports on attendance, grades, roll books and class information sheets in a timely fashion; attending departmental meetings; assisting the Chair in writing proposals and running the funded research and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have at least a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. The candidate will have experience as an instructor of record.
Requirements: Should be a registered professional Engineer or demonstrate progress toward becoming registered; prior experience in with a track record of excellence in teaching, grantsmanship, research and peer review publications; evidence of curriculum development and the ability to relate well with others within a multiethnic and multi culturally diverse student population.
