Department:    Intercollegiate Athletics

Introduction: The Intercollegiate Athletics Department is currently recruiting for an Athletic Trainer Intern. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of Morgan State University, the largest Historically Black University in Maryland.

Duties: Recruiting prospective student workers; assisting with the supervision of intern athletic trainers and student workers; reviewing and maintaining current medical records of individual athletes; monitoring pertinent medical information; maintaining inventory storage and distribution of supplies; assisting with documentation of insurance claims; collecting bills of student athletes and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited college or university. No previous experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Requirements: Must be (NATA) Board Certified; licensed in the State of Maryland; First Aid and CPR Certified; ability to provide guidance and strategy to student-athletes during competition and ability to effectively communicate on all levels.
