Department: Center for Academic Success & Achievement (CASA)

Introduction: The Center for Academic Success & Achievement (CASA) is recruiting for a Coordinator. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Managing the CASA Academic Program and application process; developing and implementing summer programing; assisting with the coordination and implementation of the First Year Experience Program; collecting and analyzing data; recruiting, collaborating with Residence Life, Dining Halls, Bear Card Office, Health Center and the Bursar Office to ensure their participation in the planning and implementation of services needed for CASA Academy students and parents; developing and coordinating appropriate programs and activities for CASA Academy students; monitoring and analyzing the academic performance of CASA Academy students; facilitating the recruiting, application, hiring and training of peer tutors and mentors; providing support for transitional workshops for CASA Academy and first-year students; providing direction and coordinating the Parent Advisory Council and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or a related field from an accredited college or university with at least three (3) years of experience working within a higher education setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Requirements: Ability to effectively communicate with faculty and students; ability to organize and handle multiple tasks, ability to follow through on commitments and meet deadlines; ability to use computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, internet applications, web browsers and email); Knowledge of the Banner database system.
