Introduction: The School of Public Health & Policy is recruiting for an Assistant to the Dean. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Assisting with the implementation of the school's strategic plan; managing the school's calendar, planning and coordinating meetings and school led events; coordinating school activities with staff; overseeing the contractual hiring process; developing and proof reading correspondences; communicating with the school leadership team to assure the receipt of mandatory reports and evaluation documentation and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited College or University, with at least five years of experience providing administrative support.

Requirements: Must have detailed planning, time management and organization skills; proficiency in the use of English, grammar and basic math; knowledge and skills in operating Microsoft Office Suite; skills in constructing various reports and correspondences; ability to compile and summarize information for reports; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to perform in a professional manner at all times; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills; ability to work well within teams.
