Introduction: The School of Community Health and Policy is currently recruiting for an Assistant to the Nursing Director. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Assisting the Nursing Director with the completion of administrative obligations for the Nursing Program; supervising the Administrative Staff; acting as the liaison between the Nursing Program Director, staff and faculty; maintaining confidential information; managing the department's complex calendar and scheduling requirements; managing the daily schedule for the Nursing Program and Director; planning and initiating team activities and managing team member listings; coordinating cost effective meetings including in person, on-site, off-site, audio local or international conferences and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited College or University with a minimum of four (4) years of executive administrative experience.

Requirements: Must have detailed planning, time management and organization skills; knowledge and skills in operating Microsoft Office Suite; skills in constructing various reports and correspondences; ability to compile and summarize information for reports; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to perform in a professional manner at all times; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills; ability to work well within teams.
