Department:  Office of Information Technology (OIT)

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) & Academy Technology Services (ATS) is recruiting for an Instructional Technology Specialist. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Providing assistance and support for faculty and staff; facilitating workshops and providing support for Blackboard, Atomic Learning, Gartner Research and audio and visual classroom technology, in person and online; researching and applying trends in emerging technology; collaborating with internal and external partners to plan and identify needs based on professional development opportunities; attending and contributing to the planning of implementation meetings; assisting in the recreation of videos, demonstrations, simulations, manuals, user guides and training materials to facilitate data fluency and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Informational Technology or a related field from an accredited College or University with a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have achieved a Master's degree in Instructional Design, Informational Technology or related field from an accredited University with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience. Experience working within a Higher Education setting.

Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency using and supporting the Learning Management System (LMS) and audio and visual Adobe Creative Cloud applications; ability to facilitate courses, trainings and providing end-user support.
