Department:  University Print Shop

Introduction: The University Print Shop is currently recruiting for an Office Clerk II. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Processing a number of documents and records that pertain to the departmental needs; processing and applying invoices to accounts; reviewing and verifying documents such as bills, receipts, invoices, purchase orders and requisitions; communicating with external and internal customers regarding incomplete and inaccurate invoices, reports or delinquent accounts; assigning job numbers and scheduling completion dates; answering all inquiries about print shop policies and procedures; approving time sheets of Student Workers; maintaining manual and automated record-keeping and filing systems; coding, sorting, and filing documents and materials; operating office equipment such as personal computers, typewriters, calculators, facsimile machines, and photocopiers and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have achieved a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in clerical work.

Requirements: Must have general knowledge of office practices and procedures; ability to operate manual and automated office equipment; ability to perform mathematical computations; ability to plan and independently perform specialized clerical tasks; ability to understand and interpret department policies and procedures; must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships; computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Suite Software.
