Department:  University Print Shop

Introduction: The University Print Shop is currently recruiting for a PS Press Operator I. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Assisting with planning and coordinating work request and job priorities; operating, adjusting and maintaining printing, digital and finishing equipment; maintaining the daily production and paper stock records; contacting vendors to request equipment repairs; attending trade shows and seminars; assisting with setting up schedules and due dates; operating printing, digital and finishing equipment; training staff in operating equipment; maintaining production and paper stock records; setting up interoffice forms according to specifications; providing technical assistance to University personnel on layout and preparation of printing request and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have achieved a High School Diploma or GED with at least four (4) years of experience in the operation of single and multi-color presses and related equipment.

Requirements: Must have knowledge and skills in operating and maintaining high speed presses; ability to communicate and follow oral and written instructions; ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
