Department: Physical Plant
Duties: Supervising and coordinating cleaning activities ensuring housekeeping quality standards are maintained; determining work priorities, planning, scheduling, assigning and inspecting work; training and evaluating assigned personnel; reviewing and evaluating housekeeping and custodial services; providing advice to management regrading policies; managing and monitoring the quality of work performed by outside Contractors; assisting the Housekeeping Chief with the development and management of the annual budget for the Housekeeping Department; approving time sheets; enforcing disciplinary actions when necessary; producing documents to secure potential vendors through the procurement process and performing other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have four (4) years of experience in housekeeping in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Requirements: General knowledge of the procedures, equipment, and supplies used in housekeeping; skilled in the use and maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment; knowledge in the selection and application of housekeeping chemicals and supplies; ability to provide guidance and train others; ability to plan and supervise the work of housekeeping personnel; ability to estimate supply and equipment needs; ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to lift transport supplies and refuse; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
