Department:  Procurement & Property Control

Introduction: The Procurement & Property Control Department is recruiting for a Financial Manager & Buyer. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Maintaining and negotiating copier and printing contracts, to include negotiating terms and prices; monitoring expenditures and savings, reviewing leases, upgrades, reviewing monthly billings and approving payments; leading the University's Copier Initiative to curb it's printing and copying expenditures, through decreasing unneeded desktop printers and copiers through the use of networked printing and copying devices; reducing costs incurred as a result of printing and copying outsourcing to facilities such as Kinko's, FedEx, Staples; providing financial review of bids and financial proposals within Procurement and performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited College or University with at least two (2) years of related work experience.

Requirements: Knowledge of Procurement processes and policies; must possess management skills; knowledge of an operating system that processes the financial module associated with budgets, requisitions and purchase orders.
