Department: Procurement & Property Control
Introduction: The Procurement & Property Control Department is recruiting for a Property Control Operations Manager. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
Duties: Managing property control operations, receiving fixed assets, moving, storage and record retention and disposals; ensuring the University's assets are protected; managing the Warehouse Supervisor, training staff; monitoring the performance and progress of staff; encouraging teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are achieved; overseeing stock control and processing orders; coordinating the use of automatic and computerized systems; producing regular reports and statistics; maintaining standards of health, safety and security in the environment; maintaining detailed records; ensuring inventories are conducted in accordance with DGS and Morgan State University's inventory control procedures and performing other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited College or University, with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience at a Management level.
Requirements: Knowledge of Procurement processes and policies as well as possess management skills; knowledge of an operating system that processes the financial module associated with budgets, requisitions and purchase orders.
