Department: Office of Information Technology (OIT)

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is recruiting for a Programmer Analyst I. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Assisting OIT with architecting, designing, analyzing and development of the modern Ellucian Banner ERP platforms within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; providing programming support to University offices by performing work of considerable, intermediate and basic difficulty using established policies, procedures, standards and guidelines; defining business requirements by designing, developing, implementing programs, workflow processes and reports to accommodate business practices; conducting problem resolution by working with unit personnel, other University staff and vendor teams to address and resolve issues that arise; utilizing request, problem and issue tracking software; performing code writing proficiency in database and web applications; maintaining the ERP software including but not limited to patch management, trouble shooting and trouble tickets; providing software installation support, maintenance, training, and service level agreement and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or a related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one (1) year of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Requirements: Must have knowledge of software development lifecycle processes such as ISO 12207, Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL) and JAVA applications; excellent oral, written, organizational and decision making skills; ability to manage multiple projects priorities in a high demand environment; ability to form and build effective client relationships.
