Department: Undergraduate Admission & Recruitment

Introduction: The Department of Undergraduate Admission and Recruitment is recruiting for an Admission Officer. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Presenting information about the University primarily to Students, Parents, High School Counselors and Community College Counselors; evaluating applications; establishing partnerships and ongoing relationships with high school and college counselors; disseminating information both University wide and to the public regarding undergraduate admissions; coordinating and contributing to the success of initiatives designed to identify, attract, admit and enroll students in Morgan State University's undergraduate programs; planning and implementing local and national recruitment activities; rendering admission decisions and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university with at least one (1) year of experience working with families and students in a higher education setting.

Requirements: Must have effective communication, organization, and decision making skills; must be proficient with MS Office Suite and Google applications; must be a self-starter and able to work independently and within a team setting; ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast paced environment; must be able to work late evening or week end hours as necessary.
