Department: Office of Records & Registration

The Office of Records and Registration is recruiting for a University Registrar. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Duties: Directing the operations of the Office of Records and Registration including: Transfer Evaluation & Articulation Services, Office of Veteran Engagement, and the Student Services Call Center; managing all strategic enrollment management initiatives related to student academic records, transfer services, course and classroom scheduling, data reporting, FERPA compliance, degree auditing, NCAA academic compliance and registration communication; providing leadership to plan, organize and administer the records, registration, graduation, transcript evaluations, enrollment and degree verification, transfer evaluations, and academic related certification services for the institution; overseeing all registration related services for over 7,700 students; overseeing the complete graduation process for both May and December Commencement; maintaining FERPA compliance for all student academic records for the institution; providing leadership over the University's degree auditing system, Banner Degree Works and Transfer articulation database; coordinating the campus-wide revisions to the university's undergraduate catalog and to the academic calendar; overseeing all aspects of veteran recruitment, manage veteran certification and processing of VA benefits, and coordinate provision of support services and resources to our current military and veteran population; understanding and interpreting NCAA, MEAC Conference and University rules as appropriate; evaluating and certifying the eligibility of new, continuing, transfer and international student athletes for participation in practice and intercollegiate competition each semester; ensuring the on-going management of NCAA eligibility for existing student-athlete participants in these programs and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited institution with at least five (5) years of management experience within a collegiate registrar's office. Significant front-end and back-end experience with a student information system (preferably Banner).

Requirements: Must have exceptional communication, analytical, and customer service skills; ability to work well with all stakeholder groups; excellent planning and time management abilities; familiarity with front-end and back-end experience with student information systems (preferably Banner) and be highly technologically proficient.
