Introduction: The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) is recruiting for a Technology Transfer Manager of Life Sciences. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to advance the mission of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
Duties: Managing a portfolio of The University's intellectual property in Life Sciences and related information science disciplines; identifying new university innovations and encouraging the discloser of new ideas; evaluating new interventions for technical merit, patentability, and commercial feasibility; overseeing the filing of patent applications; marketing technologies to existing businesses and working with entrepreneurs where new business opportunities are presented; drafting licensing
terms for technology agreements and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences from an accredited University or College with at least two (2) years of technology transfer experience.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Life Sciences from an accredited university with at least (5) years of experience of technology transfer experience.
Requirements: Must have excellent customer service, oral, written, interpersonal, time management, troubleshooting and problem solving skills; experience in evaluating new inventions, potential start-up businesses and market assessments.
