Department: Intercollegiate Athletics

Introduction: The Intercollegiate Athletics Department is currently recruiting for an Academic Coordinator. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to support the mission of one of the Nation's largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)

Duties: Coordinating the Book Loan Program; assisting and supervising the Study Hall Program; advising and directing student-athletes to use of campus academic services; handling the day-day operations and coordinating academic support for members of intercollegiate sport teams;implementing and academic support program for freshman and student-athletes;monitoring academic progress in compliance with University, MEAC and NCAA regulations; serving as Academic Coordinator for the university's selected sports programs and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Athletic Administration or related field and at least two (2) years of job related experience.

Requirements: Knowledge of NCAA, MEAC, University rules and regulations pertaining to APR and compliance; ability to work independently and multi-task; ability to exercise sound judgement and handle confidential information; strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent written and verbal skills.
