Travel Rates

Effective January 1, 2008 the reimbursement rate for University employees who utilize their vehicles for authorized University business has increased to 50.5 cents per mile. The reimbursement rate for any travel taken prior to January 1, 2008 is 48.5 cents per mile. The meal reimbursement rates remain the same for fiscal year 2008 (July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008). Please note that the meal allowances include tax and tip.

To all University travelers utilizing Globetrotter:

• Always print a copy of your itinerary/ invoice immediately upon receiving your electronic ticket information via email from Globetrotter. The link to the invoice included in the email expires once the travel has taken place and Globetrotter will not provide a copy of the invoice after this expiration. Any requests for copies have to be requested from the University Travel Coordinator.
• For fiscal year 2008, the service charge for E-tickets and paper tickets increases from $15.00 to $16.50.
• Please be economical and budget-conscious when purchasing airfare. Globetrotter is required to inform travelers of the lowest fare. Any request for a flight resulting in a higher fare must be approved by the University Travel Coordinator.
