Department: Institutional Advancement
Duties: To assist in the implementation of the University’s fundraising initiatives; work closely with the Director of Development, deans, chairpersons, faculty and alumni to develop fundraising priorities and goals; assist in the development of an annual program for gift solicitation at all levels; manage assigned cases and meet specified goals; provide professional expertise in working with volunteers and faculty to solicit major gift prospects; analyze and interpret donor prospect information; prepare briefings and reports to advance the University; serve as liaison to the campaign for assigned schools/programs; write solicitation letters, letters of appreciation, and personally correspond with prospects and donors; supervise personnel in the Office of Development, as assigned; develop a program to cultivate foundations and corporations; perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in a related field; Five years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.
Requirements: Knowledge of private sector or academic institution fundraising; skill in communication, leadership, writing, and problem solving;ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, giving attention to detail, with minimal supervision; high energy flexibility and a commitment to the University’s mission.
