Department: Office of Residence Life
Duties: The Assistant Director for Assignment, Marketing and Conference Services will establish, administer and maintain departmental policy and operational procedures of the Assignment Office for Campus Residences. Responsibilities include supervising the Manager of Assignment Operations in all aspects of daily operations; directing the Senior Program Analyst on computer operations related to assignment, marketing, and conference services; supervising financial account adjustment activities to insure that proper record keeping is maintained; providing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan for all residential facilities using various marketing formats; performing liaison duties with the other institutional offices, e.g., Student Affairs, Admissions, the Bursar, Graduate School, and the Office of International Students; overseeing the processes for contract releases of graduate and undergraduate students; assisting in the preparation of all Housing and Meal Plan standard reports; conducting or attending consultations regarding special assignments problems, security issues and contract release issues; overseeing the assignment of undergraduate and graduate students determining space allocation and building usage; assisting in the support, promotion, and advancing of Academic programs and initiatives of the Office of Residence Life and Housing; assisting in the counseling of students and families, as needed; and assisting the Director and performing other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree; Three (3) years of residence life experience engaged in assignment and marketing functions, which included detailed involvement with first year students.
Requirements: Knowledge of marketing and residence life; ability to coordinate work with other departments of the university; ability to communicate effectively; ability to provide advice and guidance; ability to deal effectively with first year students; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
