Department: School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences
Duties: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support and performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the office and faculty of the department. Types a variety of documents with accuracy (reports, faculty contracts, promotions, tenure, etc., files and assists in the maintenance of the file systems, processes mail; answers telephones and screens and directs calls that come to the office; documents all assignments for the office; assists with report preparations; composes and types memos; assists assist with travel arrangements and prepares travel documents; prepares faculty contracts; communicates well with all staff members and visitors; maintains appointment schedules for the department chair person; maintains a high level of confidentiality; and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Two years of office experience, which includes the production of documents using automated equipment and software.
