ANNUAL FUND MANAGER

Department: Institutional Advancement

Duties: To manage a comprehensive ongoing annual giving program that raises private funds annually for the University; to create and administer a program and activities to solicit gifts from alumni, parents, and friends including personal solicitations, telemarketing, and mail programs for the Annual Fund; implement a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines and evaluation plans for the Annual Fund program that includes identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of constituents; organize and manage the annual fund program, including volunteer leadership and prospect identification; develop direct mail, and telethon strategies; oversee the production of fund-raising materials using designs that coordinate with development publication and communication themes; create events in support of the Annual Fund; and work closely with the Director of Development and other departmental directors to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher, three years of successful annual fund management experience. Candidate must possess knowledge of the principles and practices associated with fundraising in higher education which includes (however not limited to): direct mail, telephone solicitations and donor relations. The individual will possess excellent writing and presentation skills and have the ability to function competently in a team environment. Superior communications skills necessary. Experience with Raiser's Edge software preferred but not required.
