Department: Financial Aid
Duties: To perform specialized administrative and clerical duties and responsibilities to support the Assistant Director of Financial Aid with overall office functions and the staff of the Loan Officer section; assist students in the completion of Electronic Promissory Notes and Entrance Counseling; certify alternative loan applications; assist the Assistant Director in updating staff on regulatory and programmatic changes associated with the loan programs; and with reconciliations of the Federal Direct Loan Program.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years relevant clerical work experience. Knowledge of ELM, BANNER AND COD is helpful.
Requirements: General knowledge of office practices, procedures, equipment, of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Skilled in preparing reports; in operating manual and automated office equipment; in performing mathematical computations;, in performing routine clerical tasks; in filing documents according to alphabetic and numeric sequences. Ability to plan and independently perform specialized clerical tasks; to understand and interpret department policies and procedures; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions; to established and maintain effective work relationships; to operate personal computers.
