FULL-TIME - CONTRACTUAL:
GRANTS PROGRAM AND BUDGET OFFICER

Job# 2007-035

Department: CHEMISTRY

RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage research and educational grant activity associated the development of the Center for Biological and Chemical Sensors Research.

Duties: Budget management including purchasing, arranging travel and processing of contractual employees; administrative tasks associated with the program including grant preparation and management; public and media relations; and working closely with the University's Office of Sponsored Programs, external funding agencies, vendors and local organizations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Management and two years of prior experience in program and/or budget management. Strong skills in communication including experience in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software: interpersonal relationships; and good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
