To Setup Printer WINDOWS-XP using DNS NAME

Step1

Click on Start - Printers and Faxes

Step2

Click on Add a Printer

Step3

Click on NEXT

Step 4

Click on Local printer attached to this computer and Uncheck Automatic detect and install my Plug and Play printer!!!

Step 5 Check Create a new Port: and choose Standard TCP/IP Port

Step 6 Click on NEXT

Step 7 You Should see this screen below.

Step 8 Put the DNS name of the printer see example below.

Step 9 You Should see this screen below.

Step 10 Select Manufactures and Printers

Step 11 Give a Printer name that is related with its location, see example below:.

Step 12 Click on NO

Step 13 You Should see this screen and clikc NEXT

Step 14 You Should see this screen below and Print a test.
