Dr. Meloney E. Levy is a Lecturer in Communication Studies, a facilitator and trainer of trainers, with experience in project management of workforce development and community health communication programs. Dr. Levy received University a BA in Mass Communication at the University of the West Indies and an MA and PhD in Organizational Communication from Howard University. She also studied Training of Trainers at the Radio Nederland Training Center in Hilversum, Holland, and graduated from the Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica as a trained teacher. She has spent all of her professional life in the Education and Communication fields, and offers a global, practical and interdisciplinary approach to her understanding and work in her areas of expertise, including Organizational Communication, Health Communication, Training and Development, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication and Nonverbal Communication.
Dr. Levy an experienced professional who has directed programs in capacity building and community development. She was also the host of radio programs on health communication, education and the environment for six years at KLAS FM in Jamaica. Dr. Levy’s research interest is the communication of power and is predicated on the idea that reality is socially constructed and that individuals can create the realities they desire.
