Transfer Incentive Program (TIP) Checklist

  • Earned, or will earn by August 2014, an Associate Degree from a regionally accredited college or university 
    • Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better
  • Express interest in the program by applying online
  • Submit an official transcript, to MSU, from all previously attended colleges or universities
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov and use Morgan's FASFA code 002083
  • Once admitted, confirm your intent to enroll and pay the $150 non-refundable confirmation fee
  • Register for one of the following transfer orientations
    • June 5, 2014
    • July 10, 2014
    • August 19, 2014 
  • Once enrolled for classes students must:
    • Maintain a semester and cumulative 2.5 grade point average
    • Remain enrolled in the selected major of study
    • Be enrolled as a full time student each semester with at least 12 credits
    • Must successfully complete a minimum of 15 credits per semester
    • Must follow the degree plan provided by the department chairperson or academic advisor
  • Scholarships are competitive and limited to available funding
